Core idea: use a web-executing AI agent to generate real, actionable prospects you can contact today.
TinyFish is an AI web agent platform that can search, browse, extract, and execute workflows on the live web. In my YouTube video I ran this exact workflow live to find real local businesses with weak or missing websites — then turned that list into client outreach opportunities.
What TinyFish actually does
Most AI tools answer questions. TinyFish executes workflows. Instead of asking for "ideas," you give it a process: search multiple sources → open pages → extract key details → deduplicate → return structured data you can automate downstream.
Key building blocks (in plain English):
- Search API — find relevant results quickly (SERPs, directories, niche sites)
- Browser API — navigate real web pages like a user (click, scroll, close popups)
- Fetch API — pull page data fast when full rendering isn't required
- Agent workflows — chain steps into repeatable systems (inputs → actions → outputs)
The exact prompt used in the video
Go to the following three URLs:
1. https://www.google.com/search?q=roofing+contractors+near+56187
2. https://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=roofing&find_loc=Worthington%2C+MN
3. https://www.yellowpages.com/worthington-mn/roofing-contractors
From ALL three sources, identify up to 6 total UNIQUE local businesses (per site).
Steps:
1. Visit each source one at a time.
2. If a cookie banner or popup appears, close it.
3. From each source, collect business listings and open their detail pages if available.
4. Avoid duplicates: if the same business appears across multiple sources, include it only once.
For each UNIQUE business return:
- business_name: name of the company
- location: city/state
- phone_number: if visible, otherwise null
- website_url: if listed, otherwise null
- has_website: true if a real standalone website exists,
false if only directory listings (Google/Yelp/Facebook) or no site
- source: "google", "yelp", or "yellowpages" (primary source where found)
- opportunity_type: "no website" if none exists,
"weak website" if site exists but appears outdated or low quality
- opportunity_reason: one short sentence explaining why this is a good prospect
for a website or marketing service
Return JSON as an ARRAY matching exactly this structure. Rules:
- Do not include duplicate businesses
- Only include up to 6 total businesses per source
- If any field is missing, return null
- Do not include any extra text outside of JSON — only return valid JSON
Beginner tip: run this prompt, then copy the JSON output into a spreadsheet or CRM. The structure is designed for automation.
Why this workflow is powerful
It produces clean, usable leads — not messy scraped data:
- Aggregates multiple lead sources — Google + Yelp + YellowPages in one run
- Deduplicates results — no wasted outreach or double-contacting
- Identifies opportunities — labels "no website" vs. "weak website"
- Returns structured output — JSON you can plug into enrichment, outreach, or a CRM
How to expand this into a business
- Lead generation SaaS — users choose a niche + ZIP, your app returns scored prospects with contact info
- Local SEO prospecting tools — detect missing sites, slow pages, no SSL, poor mobile UX
- Agency automation systems — prospect list → enrichment → personalized first-line → draft outreach in your CRM
- Competitor monitoring — track reviews, ads, landing pages, offer changes, pricing updates
- Outreach automation — generate a compliant outreach queue (human-in-the-loop approval recommended)
- AI research agents — collect sources, summarize claims, output structured briefs
System mindset: this is a repeatable pipeline. Change the niche + location and you have a new outbound list in minutes.
